Special Issue of the Journal of Technology in Human Services: Call for papers from the husITa18 conference

The editors of this special edition of the Journal of Technology in Human Services, a Routledge/Taylor Francis publication, are seeking submissions from colleagues who presented papers at husITa18 held in July 2018 in Dublin, Ireland. Only papers that were actually presented during the conference and associated with the husITa18 (Technology) theme will be accepted. Please see the journal’s instructions for authors for a guide to acceptable style and formatting.
Key Dates
- 14th June 2018: Alert editors of your intention to submit and include a 1-2 page summary or annotated outline of the proposed paper by author/s.
- 27th July 2018: Manuscript submitted for review.
- 28th September 2018: Notification of acceptance and/or revisions.
- 26th October 2018: Final manuscript (with completed revisions) submitted.
- 23rd November 2018: Final notification of acceptance

About the Editors
Dr Ann Lavan, Lecturer Emerita: University College Dublin.
Served as Book Review Editor of journal International Social Work and member of the Board of the International Association of Schools of Social Work. Ann also served on the National Economic and Social Council; Commission on Social Welfare; Combat Poverty Agency and National Social Service Board. Publications include community social services, information technology in social services and human flourishing. Currently Secretary of the board of husITa and local organizer of the husITa stream at SWSD2018.
Dr Gloria Kirwan, Assistant Professor of Social Work, School of Social Work and Social Policy, Trinity College Dublin.
Gloria has a long-standing interest and expertise in issues surrounding technologies and social services and she has published on this topic. She was the Irish Representative on an International Task Force on Social Media convened by the U.S. Association of Social Work Registration Boards. She was elected to the Board of husITa in December 2017. Gloria is a member of the Local Organising Committee for SWSD2018.
